It is at this time of year that fish are common Christmas gifts. The Betta seems to be a fish of choice for many people but also is one of the most misunderstood of fish. I personally know of several people that think the Betta should only live in a small tank not much bigger than the cup it came home in! If only these people would educate themselves on the care of the Betta fish. A good book would go a long way for them.
